Head skimming

Any idea of cost to skim a 6 cyl alu head , thanks in advance

Our local engineering shop does a 4 cylinder for £25 so assume 1/2 as much again. You are a bit of a captive audience on Anglesey though so whatever they say, you pay

best bet is to just ring around, as it varies a bit, depends if you have stripped it right down too.

Yup, been asked to quote but yrs since Ive done one as a job, out of touch (with market forces ) just need a ball park.

Last one I had skimmed was a 3 cylinder and my local engineering place charged £20. I think the prices above are pretty average tbh.

i normally get head skimmed,valve guides,valve stem seals and valves lapped and fitted ,if you can offer the full works money could go up to (£100+)depending on head and valves...worth the money......i just fit them

We ain't the cheapest, but £40 + VAT in Leeds, should be less your way...
