HB Penguard Primer - spraying with air

I bought this under reccomendation from some other landy owners for my 110 chassis - https://www.smlpaints.co.uk/products/penguard-hb

It says airless spray or brush. I dont have an airless sprayer, but have a compressor etc. Is there anyway to spray it using my compressor or am i better just accepting I need to brush it on? I was hoping to spray and get better/easier coverage into the corners and awkward spots etc but didnt research this aspect before I bought the primer.

I think this is what Rustbusters used to sell as epoxy 421. It can be thinned with epoxy thinner and sprayed with a normal gun.

Bearing mind that it is then outside the manufacturers TDS.

Thats partly why I ask - will it need more coats? Be as effective etc if thinned? I am no expert at spraying.

Perhaps I should have chosen a different product!

What airless sprayer would I need? I had a brief look but it would be cheaper to buy a different paint setup completely and use the penguard on something else!

Just brush it, nobody but you will see it. If you are going to do bodywork, then an automotive primer would be a better choice.

Think this is going to get the best outcome in the end. It will just take a bit longer and I will have to be more careful in the fiddly bits but thats ok.

I use Pengard hi build on boats quite a bit, excellent stuff, its forgiving & like all jotun paints, durable. Mostly i roller it on using mohair rollers & brushes.
Once cured it sands nicely & is easy to flat off for topcoat of your choice. I havent sprayed it.
I wouldnt see any advantage spraying it on a chassis as it would go on thinner.
