Hawker hunter crashed at the Shoreham airshow today. At least 7 died. Pilot reported to be alive but serious.
thats a shame , before long they will ban having air shows over land because of the risks
There seems to be at least 1 or 2 fatal crashes every show season...dont know iff its air craft over stretched on its capabilitys mixed with age or pilots showboating a little too far that causes it but its never a nice sight to seeIn fairness, there seems to have been a lot of accidents lately, when was the last one ? Only a week or two back.

There is a YouTube video, but I'm not posting it up.
There seem to be several, some of the comments are [expletives deleted] unbelievable. If people shot their mouths off like that in a pub there would be bodily injury.
What may happen is that air shows will be limited to the coast with all the flying taking place over the sea.
Is the problem that some of these old aircraft are in private hands and not maintained to the high standards of military of civil aviation jets?
I gave up reading the comments on YouTube along time ago, it seems to be the habitat for trolls, racists and general sub human elements of the population. There seem to be several, some of the comments are [expletives deleted] unbelievable. Looked like the pilot was still flaps down as he tried to pull up out of a dive....
