Back in October 2016 i tried using MyHermes International to post a crankshaft to Germany, their quote was about half anyone else, but they offered insurance, so what could go wrong?
According to their tracker they tried to deliver 4 times, twice the same day before 8:00 am and twice after 7:00 pm to a business address, so then they tell me the parcel will be returned to me at my cost.
After a month and the crank is not returned, I start using their chat service as the tracker just says problem.... they tell me I will get it in the next few days. After another few weeks of chatting with them, they advised me there is no option to phone and discuss with them directly.
I then ask them when I can make a claim for the parcel being lost, they advised after 8 weeks!
I then asked 8 weeks from when and they responded after they register the parcel is lost on their system, which is some 2 and a half months after I posted it and over a month from when their tracker registers a problem!
So I can finally put a claim in on 23rd December, that their website says should be resolved in 14 days.
By 10th January I am "chatting" with them again asking when the claim will be resolved, they advised someone will email me.
12th January (3 months after my order was placed) they finally offer to settle an amount equal to what I paid for the crank - as I had to provide evidence of that plus less than half what I had paid for the carriage. I was so fed up I just accepted their offer as I did not want to spend more time "chatting" with them.
Perhaps I am unlucky, but not the greatest of experiences, I must have spent over an hour "chatting" with them on line or awaiting someone available to "chat"
Rant over......
