Although I employ a couple of welders in the mill (both good lads at positional mig and tig) I had a pro coded welder in today to instal pipework for a thermo compressor upgrade that's due to be completed next week.
Jeez could this guy weld!
He was welding flanges and joints in situ that I couldn't even dream of doing on a bench, even tacked a dummy piece on to a live super heated steam line at 17.5 Bar
(I was cr@pping myself whilst he did this, if I hadn't seen his welding there would have been no chance I'd allow this!)
As a hobby welder it made me feel :full

Is he due for a return visit anytime soon ? Sounds like you could sell tickets for it you'd make a bomb on this forum alone
