Some may know I have HF crane that I use for recovery in motorsport.
Well during the enforced lock down, I have been chasing some outstanding job, rewiring, new lights etc and finaly got around to looking at the play in the top section of the crane where the pulley sits.
.
The cause is a worn pin the pulley runs on. The two raised sections are the correct height from what I can make out and the bits either end & middle are the worn bits. The middle has the pulley running over it.
The chances of finding a new one are...well slim.
Anyone feeling handy with lathe think that they could make a new one?
At the blue end is a grease nipple and there are two holes in the shaft.
Cheers
