Harbor Fright English Wheel

I was at Harbor Fright the other day and saw that they now have a large yellow English Wheel for sale for $200.00. Anyone know if this will work making small motorcycle fenders, gas tanks, etc. or is this more for large panels, car hoods, etc. Would I need to change the rollers?

Watching Salvage Squad at the weekend and apparently the English Wheel is the tool for making fenders - haven't checked the HF site but I'd guess the problem is more likely that the wheel for sale would be too small rather than too big.

I first saw the English Wheel during the first couple of seasons of American Chopper, when Paul Jnr was using it for fabricating motorbike bits and pieces.

Hello YS,

the different rollers are to form different depths, the flatter the roller, the shallower the curve. The size of panel you can form depends on the size of the machine, a small machine should be fine for small motorcycle parts.
