ever hand sanded with emery colth or just plain abrasives,you hold the paper doubled to form a grip? well.......

Stick some double side tape to the paper,peel off the protection of the tape and it will stick to your fingertips and sand.....works a treat.

I happened on it as an idea,was fumbling about in a bag of odds and sods and this piece of emery cloth stuck to me fingers as I was fumbling around in the bag,the light bulb lit up and I thought thats the way to do it.

That emery cloth was when I went and done me lathes saddle and the lathe bed,stuck the double side tape to the saddle and resurfaced the bed that way.
