For paint mechanical paint remover I prefer the strip and clean discs on an angle grinder, they don't clog, act fast and will also properly clean light rust unlike a wire brush which just polishes it.
No, i just didnt mention, as it seems to come up every other week! : ) [exaggeration, but you get the idea!]
Go on ebay and search dichloromethane (check the spelling)
You can buy it in 25ltr tubs!
(basically, old nitromores, it seems, was just DCM, and a binder to stop it running away)
Strangly, its heavier than water, and wont mix with water, so you can put it in a tub, with a water layer over the top, to stop it all evaporating.
You can also buy it from, i think, RS, in a spray can - cant remember the detail, but search this forum, and youll find the post - i think a couple of months ago
Depending on how well it has stuck to whatever you want to strip you could try a wood chisel, my brother in law used this method to get most of it off his lathe
The starchem paint stripper still contains the good stuff, anywhere that sells body shop supplies should stock it - strictly for professional use of course!
