GYS Plasmas

Anyone had any experience with these? I'm in the market for a cheap one and they look pretty solid from a couple of feet away...

Any thoughts about their TIG's would be nice as well...

No one has ever used a GYS plasma or TIG? The local store who sells 'em (next to Kemppis and Fronius' ) says that they've sold a couple of them to the local fabshops and some heavier industry, and not one has complained or brought them back, and they give a 30 day approval period and a couple of years of warranty.

Not that much, around 800 € locally.

I would consider that as 'sales-bull', in my experience (never actually sold them) they are not very reliable...which is reflected in the price. Save up some more & go for your home grown Kemppi stuff

Well, I need to save for about 10 years then, cause I haven't still seen a Kemppi that I've thought I could afford in any kind of universe

I have a GYS 20 Plasma Cutter and I am very pleased with it. I have used it to cut mild steel up to 4mm and stainless up to 2mm, both without problem. I paid about £400 for mine about 18 months ago.
