GYS Multi pearl 200-4 xl broken

Had my GYS multi pearl 200-4 xl a few years, its done light hobby work

Went to use it the other day but no joy
When you switch it on the screen lights up blue for a second then goes out, the mig torch spools out 6 inches of wire then stops then the fan keeps running

What are peoples thoughts before I get the Allen keys out and take the cover off?

Any help would be great

is it warm and dry ,, thats usually my starting point , put it beside a radiator , or at the bottom of the hotpress for a week , then give it another go.

It was dry and well ventilated, it is now warm and dry and by the radiator but the problem persists

Thanks I'll check that out, i'm hoping for a press this button and that button for 10 seconds and it will reset..

The GYS reset should be printed on the machine, failing that, the manual for the 210 is here https://www.gys-welding.co.uk/pdf/manual/uk/065109.pdf I don't think they're too different.

I did the following today and it seems to be working again, although I haven't struck and arc yet. Thought I'd update incase anyone else suffers the same
Not sure what the problem was or what fixed it but I did the following:

Did the reset (hold top two buttons on the control panel for 3 seconds)

Took the cover off and wiggled every spade terminal I could find, and checked for blown components (none found)

Got the airline out and gave everything a good blow down.

Put the cover back and to my surprise it returned to normal

Maybe run a few heavy beads through it to check functionality and get some heat generated?

I fired my GYS TIG up yesterday (probably mindful of this thread!), not been used for a month or so but given the damp in the air recently I thought it'd benefit from a bit of use, pushed ten sticks into some old brake discs and a bit of 5mm angle, just for the practice - didn't miss a beat.

Well it's just gone pop again having worked fine for the last 2 years
I've chased the fault to a broken resistor

Its the lower of the three, silver black blue silver

Does anyone know where to buy these? They are about 20mm in length much bigger than anything a quick Google has found

usually RS has all that stuff . or drop GYS a note , they may send you a few .

Couldn't source the resistor in the end, so brought a new board at great expense, but less than a new welder

Just fitted it this evening, and I'm confident that everything was connected correctly and the resistor has blown again

Any suggestions what could be the root cause of the issues?
