GYS. Any good?

Hi guys. Has anyone any experience of the GYS162 . I am upgrading from a Sealey 135 TX. I know what most people think of them but I had mine for 4 years without any problems at all. I realise that there is a connection to Weldequip on here but I am hoping for an independent view please.

I've had a GYS 133 MMA inverter since 2005. It's had plenty of use and no problems.

I've had my Smartmig 162 for a good couple of years now, excellent welder and very nice to use. Have a search on here, it's been mentioned more than a few times.

norlander, of this parish, has one and is pleased. Uses it no-gas mostly but likes it with gas too. The importer is on this forum too, perhaps he will pop up.

I was very impressed with how nice they worked when I had one demoed in my shop. Sold a few since and no complaints. Can't say I expected a lot at that money but I was pleasantly surprised. It's certainly more than good enough to keep the keen DIYers out there happy.
