thats a beauty,cant see from the pics,but presume it bolts down? would be nice as you say but not at that price although if using it to earn its keep day in day out that would be another matter eh.

I'm genuinely struggling to imagine it's size with nothing more than the woodgrain to go with!

@Parm Could you give us an idea of, say, length of tommy bar?

rather a course thread on that,and realise now its probably made to clamp into your bench vice,shame some one over restored it though, thats only my opinion mind !

Looks like a miniature. Probably 2-3 inches in the longest dimension...

Typical scam for those micro vices, stick a huge price on it to disguise the size, don't guve any measurements in the ad. I'm assuming Parm "walked away" using a mouse.

I have seen those 3" multi use vices described as:
Gun Smiths Vice.
Tinkers Vice.
Portable Engineers Vice.
Jewellers Vice.

In good condition they seam to have a steep price tag. I have not seen one locally to me for about 2 years.

But near Swindon are 2 shops were they do get odd tools in, so will keep an eye out.

The first blacksmith course I did the owner had a full sized version of that except I think the vice was on the heel of the anvil, i've never seen another.
