Guidance needed re Mig settings

Hi all. Found this site when I was googling how to use a Mig welder.

I have borrowed a welder to practise/learn and then use it to make a trailer.
It is a Elektra Beckum 260/60 ET, brand new, from my boss whom swindled it off an ex partner but it has no instructions. I had a little play and using the calculator here i made these settings.

resulting in these welds. In order of attempts. Using 0.9 mm wire.

Realised I forgot to turn the gas on.




Now, the knobs on the right, welding mode, dwell time and weld time, what should i set them on. I am welding 2.00 and 2.5 mm steel. Gas is set on 10.lph.

Worked out the welding mode switch is for wire feed (on off via a single squeeze of the trigger verses two squeezes of the trigger)and a spot weld function. So i presume weld time and dwell is for the spot function.

Yeah, I read that earlier. This one has never been used, pristine inside and the torch did not have a mark on it til I got my hands on it. Still practising. Thanks.
