He looks fabulous. Can't wait to see a video of him actually walking. Noticed the artistic director reckons he's made from steel - could have saved some money there. The blue doc martins make sense now.

Fantastic stuff.
An epic piece of sculpture, loved the overwhelmed children in the pics.
Does he come alive at night and tromp about?
And was he slightly inspired by the Iron Giant story and film? (Ted Hughs, a classic cold war era anti war story) I can see a familial resemblance.

Indeed Chunko, media whore at last. I've been keeping me head below the parapet on the whole, until today - a big press shoot, lots of lenses, I'm hanging around in me ovies with a cuppa, photographer makes me stand in shot as big man is carried out of workshop. Click click flash flash. My "moment of glory" apparently. Check those papers tomorrow! (probably the Scottish dailies, not English...)

I think the inspiration was more Royal Deluxe, although I like the Iron Man idea.
