I have a David's Fastglass kit that came from Halfords. I thought it would be a good starting point for using GRP and it has been quite good although the speed the resin goes off at means I can only do small amounts at a time. That has not been a big problem when patching over the cracks in the inner skin of my hard top.
Now I want to move on and buy seperate components and particularly try slower resins and doslightly larger projects. To enable me to make sense of the various weights of CSM available I wonder if any one can tell me what GSM is of the CSM included in the kits?
Also I would like to check my understanding of CSM versus woven. Woven gives you higher tensile strength in the moulding and CSM gives you a stiffer moulding. Is that correct?
