grouting ???

I'd be tempted if I could buy real 4x2" timber instead of the metric stuff that's just a bit too small!

Reclamation yard maybe?

depending on your depth under your floor you could fit a longer beam in so instead of the 4x2 which i think is too thin in the first place but a 5x2 or 6x2 is better

4x3 or 4x4 is fine with dried out beam for gaps of 4-5ft

but no depth just double up your beam and fasten them together

bought some grouting from B&Q mapei?
bought a diamond grinding disc,cleaned out the old cracked grouting.
approx 4/5 mm wide and about 6mm deep.
did as instructions ,dampened the area before grouting. most of the grouting is fine apart from 2 tile length.
the grouting has dried and cracked and bits coming out.
is this because it has dried out to quick?
or is to deep and need to half fill it?
the 1st lot I did it was to thick so cleaned it out again and made the grouting a little thicker than creamy past.
so what am I doing wrong here?

I'd expect was not filled right up and air gap behind so yes dryed out too quick

Or there is something it's reacted with

Cut it out any reapply use less water as well

let the air rise i found in the past, put it straight in and its full of air pockets.
