grinding in nooks and crannies

just welding some holes (some rusty, some now redundant factory..) and I am struggling to clean some of them up as my angle grinder will not fit into the gaps they are in

basically what can I do to clean of welds that are unreachable by flap disc? I would get the dremel out but from memory it is terrible at grinding anything harder than butter..

Is there any sort of drill bit that would work? like a more hardy equivalent to the dremel grind stones?

Carbide burrs are what you need, usually used in a die grinder, but can be used with a power drill, also a flexible drive will get you into tight spaces.
Also google "mounted points", these are stones mounted on a shaft, similar to a burr,

I use the above routers box full with a flexible drive from Machine Mart about £40 routers, £15 flex drive, dont touch the screw fix one you will get screwed on that, mine broke after five minutes.

Also the flexible rotary tool kit from Machine mark, check their web site for tool info etc, they have loads of good tools.

I dont bother with the die grinders, on some rust they dont last very long.

an air file (10mm) is also very handy for grinding in tight spots.

Indeed, though the 10mm belt sander can get in tight spaces and grind welds down very nicely without thinning the parent metals.

I use a power file & tunsten burrs in a die grinder and finish off with a split 6mm bar with emery

the only good one probs 2k

Cellulose can be just as good with work and good tools it just wont last as long or not as tough as 2k.
