I`ve been keeping busy, so`thought I`d post some pics.
Fed-up with grinding dust getting all over the clean tools and more delicate parts of Deb`s workshop; so have built a steel-bench, just for grinding and shaping and have positioned it on t`other side of the room where the grit can do less harm.
The .25" plate bench-top is 4ft. x 2ft. and the height means that the vice (installed next job) will have it`s jaws at my 'elbow height' for ease/comfort when using the heavy 9" grinder.
Have installed an adjustable strip-light over the bench: the bracket is an old (salvaged) portable Tv. wall-mount...which now permits both extension and rotation changes to poise, giving better contrast 'seeing' of scribed/blued lines; `good job too, as my eyes seem to ageing far more quickly that the rest of me!
....although my back isn`t far-behind (no pun intended).
