grinder nut?

just bought a maktec grinder 115mm but just got the nut etc for hard stone
pad and I want to use soft pads aswell but can't find a nut suitable on ebay as they are all of the flat type. any pointers please.
oh I've ask the seller and all I got was backing pad.

if you using soft pads, ie the nice flat round sanding disks that fix to a flexable plastic backing pad. the kits always come with the nut. which isnt exactly a nut but a strange tapered aluminium nut thing. Probaly weldequip sells the complete kits

Do you not just turn the nut & or the backing washer round?

Not if your talking about the fibre discs, as Darren said, you need a backing pad, which always comes with the required nut.

Dont be tempted to use paper discs, no matter how much cheaper they are.

I assume this is what you mean?
