Gpx 600 handling woes

I should have read all the posts before replying
Spin the wheel whilst checking the Rim. If ok then check the tyre.
If it's the tyre, complain to the dealer and ask for a replacement / correct fitting ...... if it hasn't been too long since bought. If the tyre is faulty then it's clearly 'not fit for purpose' and they should replace it, regardless of age

HI had tyre on about 6 months but bike was stored and moved regularly to avoid flat spots developing , do agree maybe hope dealer will do as well if tyre is faulty and not fit for purpose the tyre was first on the check list and was ok a mate said he had a tyre of same make go off after a short time and dealer replaced .

I had one of those years ago with a nasty high speed wobble. Two up it was perfect though. Never did get to the bottom of it.

Mine's not anywhere near perfect - very tatty, some in the club are better than showroom condition.
Just to remind you - here's a pic (during a rideout at the rally) of a car park almost filled with GT750s normally get about 80 bikes turn up

Never rode a gt but they are smart bikes sound very nice when they pass u we have alad with one localy and u could set yer watch by him 6am time t get up never did bother with an alarm clock he did the job.

Very nice Jester - I'd love another one. I still have a hankering for hose old 2 strokes. My Blackbirds are great fun, but in a different way to the old Kettles. Mind you, I'm glad the 'Bird doesent handle like the GT did - it was awful!

I shall keep an eye out for VMY340S ...... though a lot of bikes have been stripped for parts. Unfortunately, there was a time when the bikes were worth more in bits than complete (hopefully not now).
Yes, handling is poor - performance is rubbish by modern standards and the brakes too ............ can't really justify the attraction
I bought a GSX1250 (update of the Bandit) last October ..... then rode the GT - as I started off, I got off and checked it was firing on all cylinders, as it seemed flat There's just no comparison to modern bikes - but fun ..... can get an adrenalin rush, at legal speeds - sometimes, when your not looking for one
