Good start to the day

Took the hound out for a walk this morning & on the way back was walking along a ride with a grassy bank on the north side, thinking there might be an Adder or two sunning themselves i got the dog at heel & we were walking quietly along, i see something brown in a patch of sunlight about 25 yards into the woods.
We got to about 10 yards & it was a muntjac deer asleep in the sun. Stood there watching it for 2 minutes & then it woke up. Think it was a bit surprised to see me but it stayed still for another 30 secs before disapearing. I have seen them fleetinngly before but never like this. Made my day.
And i had left my camera at home.

What you need is a mobile phone with a camera built in, I've heard such things exist in this modern age and some are even capable of making short movies with sound and everything

Nice one! Wish we had deer where I live. It's amazing what you can see if your quiet and still. Your dog must be well trained too, if my 2 springers got wind of that I have no hope of keeping them to heel!

Lol, yes i had one, dropped it in the tide, next one fell into a mould i was washing out, current one has no camera, sods law!

We nearly had one as a hood ornament on the Isle of Mull one year the only place I've seen venison burgers on sale at the roadside burger van.
