I've heard that too, but never tried it.
I can't imagine it would last very long and even anyway ANY food products are 100% banned from my garages. And never have rodent problems.
I think a peanut butter smelling comsaw sitting under a shelf in the garage could be a recipe for disaster!
Also is it smooth or the crunchy one you need as I only stock the crunchy one in the cupboard. Smooth peanut butter is for sissies.
There is the method of heating the plastic with a hot air gun but you have to be careful, too much heat & the plastic warps!
(Don't ask me how I know that)
