I need to replace the carburettor insulator on the pickup. I’ve some 8mm Tufnol sheet I need to glue/seal together to get the required stack height.

What would be the best method of ensuring an air tight seal between the sheets?

I've been using it to seal some gaps on a petrol can I use every week and it's suvived 6months and 500ltrs of petrol and still going strong

Another vote for Araldite or a similar 2 part adhesive. Have use this method to build and modify various electrical insulators.

Initially I had thought the same, along with locite. Needs to be one piece really. I’ve pinned them together in the corners with rollpins, so I can machine it as one. Saving Araldite covering my mill

Silky smooth cut.


However. This stuff is king of never ending stringy swarf, best method is to poke.


I started the hole with an anular cutter.





Tooling gets very hot quickly
