Gluing acrylic

I have a very expensive photo developing tank thats got a crack in an inaccessible place, now I have come up with a plan to inject some glue in to the crack but whats best to use ?
Its clear Acrylic.
I have some ABS cement would that do?
Where can I get a syringe?

Don't use the ABS cement, you want a liquid weld type solvent (if memory serves it's based on chloroform).
It's a clear runny liquid that looks like water and you can either syringe it in or use a brush, the capillary action in the joint should draw it in (joint needs to be perfectly tight).

If it was me i'd drill each end of the crack to stop it spreading and then lay a piece of clear acrylic over the area as a patch.

Daughters in to film so we are setting up a dark room but found the tanks clear panels are cracked, Manufacturers told me I can drill the top edge of the clear section as its one sheet folded to make it thicker and inject glue, its worth a try as I can't afford a new one

The liquid cements that smell like pear drops should do it (cyclohexanone based).

Like these? I used to have my darkroom set up with two lots, one for colour and the other B&W - very efficient and the floating lids mean you don't have to waste chemicals between sessions.
