Globe milling attachment for a lathe

Who has got one of these globe milling attachments. There is bound to be one of you chaps that does. Just been reading about them.

as always with this kinda thing, it's the set up time....that's unless u havee 2 lathes.......but are we in a rush......?????????? hahaha

I am looking at Tom senior horizontal milling machines. Will invest in to one after the new year.

You’ll probably find it’s not got much more scope than a vertical slide. It’s an attachment at the end of the day. I have a vertical slide and can do some nice work on it but it’s no replacement for a dedicated milling machine

I agree Richard. An intresting old school attachment thoe. Very hard to come by. They made on with an indexting head to.
