Oh i forgot about the Dat`s i was looking last night at some, some cracking lookers about. I fancy a couple of Gars aswell but it will depend on the other first and what left room wise, and SWMBO likes the Knife fish, there so many fish to choose from its difficult, its a big tank but can still soon be filled with fish. I have had all the fish i have siad in the past except the Gars, so would be good to get something different Plecs are a big want but with the rays i need to choose carefully.

gars & knife may have problems with the aro, espescially when bigger

main think with the rays is the tank needs to be for them.... & everything elsi is just dressing. Big bits of wood for everything else to hide in/under at tnight when the rays are hunting

i had a giant red gourami in with mine for a bit... either love or hate them tho

Main reason i am on the side of caution with the Gar`s, i have seen a few keep them together but as you say its when they are big you need to keep an eye on them, Knife fish i thought would be ok though. NOt to keen on the Gourami type. Its going to be a few months in the build as i never rush so plenty of time to pick through what to put in.
