Hi everyone.
I'm about to get my first mig welder and will be needing plenty of advice soon. I have done a fair bit of arc welding but have never used a mig before.
Looking forward to learning a few things from you as I go.

Which welder are you looking at? MIG is a lot like arc - just you work closer to the metal so you have a little more control which is useful on thinner metal. Keep us up to date with your progress.

Hi Malcolm, I can't even remember which brand it was, I think it was Bi- something or rather lol. , I just remember it was red .
It was the bigger of the two I looked at, and had a stitch weld function on it.
I'm hoping to make it a paying hobby, so will spend extra to get the right machine.
It will probably be 3 or 4 weeks before I get it, but I hope to get some practical experience on one in the meantime.
I'll be sure to keep you up to date with my progress, and i'll include photo's so that you can pick them to bits lol.
