I bought a clarke 150 turbo a wee while back and slowly started picking up gear, masks etc.. Only thing thats slowed me down is the gas, local place wants £100 a bottle, that includes bottle hire..

Am hoping to pick one up now very soon, looking for advice, hints/tips on trying to pick up mig welding on my own..

My aim long term is to be able to weld cars, but am also keen on making log burners from gas bottles.

Any advice etc is appreciated

Don't know comparison wise but to buy a 20 litre Mig gas over here it's about €210 Inc the tank then €80-90 for refills

ended up getting a boc y bottle tonight, the welder i bought has a new regulator fitted, but it turns out its the wrong size lol.. something else to buy
