getting that perfect finish

Hi everyone i have been spraying on and off for few years now, and i dont no if it due to the fact that i have a crap gun but it never seams to be as flat as i want it. Reason why i am asking i have to wings a bonnet and a bumper to spray and i want to spend little time wet flatting it and buffing it up as time is not on my side. Will a decent gun get it as flat as possible many thanks.

need much more info than i have a crap gun to sort this i fear. can you elaborate a touch, back it up with a photo maybe? the gun quality is probably not the cause.

could be gun , prep, type of paint, technique, air pressure and more

a nice gun will be easier to use than a cheapo one , but it still takes some skill and practice to get a really nice finish

for bonnets you can cheat a little and thin the paint a touch more as there less chance of runs , maybe shut the fan down a touch too
