Generosity and Kindness

Yesterday I received a resolver that Hood of this forum sent to me. He read of my interest in these devices through the thread "Today I acquired.." and asked if I wanted the one he had.

He then sent it to me gratis. I continue to be humbled by the generosity and kindness of the members on here.

I can concour. Robin has helped out with bits and pieces for my cnc conversion in the past. Feel a bit guilty I havent been able to get started on it but still collecting bits up in preparation.
Top man. Bought a fair few bits and always a pleasure to deal with.

I don't think you need to feel guilty. Collecting parts for a project is all part and parcel of the process. You will reach a point where you hit critical mass - you have the parts and the time and the inclination. Then the project will make strides.

I've done projects recently with bits I've had for years. And I'm collecting bits now - resolvers as an example - that may not be used for a long time. As my Grandad used to say to my Grandma regarding his stockpile of engineering curios - it's not what I do with it. It's what I could do with it...
