General Plasma advice please.

Will welcome any advice as how to get the best finish using a cheapo PlasmaPart 40 cutting 3/4mm mild steel. Dry air at the right pressure seem to be important - anything else?

Try different torch travel speed on some scrap as this affects how much dross you get on the back,

plenty of practice and you'll find the sweet spot on how fast you need to go.

Don't 'cut air' with the torch, always make sure you are cutting metal when the trigger is depressed. This will greatly increase the life of the tip.
Changing tips before they are completely knackered will increase the life of the electrode.
