Hi all
After some recommendations/advice been dealing with the restoration on my eisle cold saw for quite some time.
I’m nearing completion but have discovered the gearbox is nearly solid I can free it off partially and then soon seizes up again so I think one or more of the needle roller bearings need replacing. The saw was left outside before I got it so maybe there’s been some moisture got in somewhere. I’ve had it over a year and I put fresh oil in it as soon as I brought it
I’m struggling with time and it’s a bit out of my knowledge. So could do with some recommendations of somewhere that would strip and put new bearings in this gearbox.
I can take the gearbox off the saw but it’s a heavy lump so shipping is going to be expensive so ideally somewhere I can take it to in the southwest.
I’ve added a couple of pics of the internals.
