Gearbox mount seat alhambra mk1 98

A couple of months ago i changed the clutch and DMF in my 98 seat alhambra.

After changing the clutch i started getting a judder when releasing the clutch (setting off).

I could pull off without the judder if i drive like i was learning.

I took a punt on the cheapest gearbox mount i could find it seemed to cure the problem but the judder is coming back.

Should i get a genuine mount or could the other mounts be bad?

Try a slightly more expensive oem mount, replaced bushes in the past with cheap ebay parts the replacement bushes had more play in them than the original deteriorated bushes

Usually i don't buy the cheaper parts but after splashing out on a luk clutch and dmf could not afford £150 for an engine mount.

Lemforder are probably the OEM supplier so look for a Lemforder branded mount, will be pretty much the same as what you get from SEAT/VW. In my experience with VW engine mounts there will be 3- 2 rear and one front, the front one takes most of the load from pulling away due to the torque wanting to tip the engine backwards, so I'd be replacing that one too.

Bit of a result hopefully.

Don't go far in this car most weeks it hardly gets up to temp.

Went for a hour trip the other day on the way back no more judder. Since then no more judder.
