The floral panels available for gate making seem to make all the difference to the appearance of a finished set of gates. I am aware that there are a few members on here who are involved with gate making. I have seen numerous photos of the gates that members have made, and very neat jobs they are too. However, I cannot recall seeing any photos posted of gates made by members where these floral panels have been used. I have been away for a while, so they may have eluded my searching.
Below is a link to panels on a PDF (see page 6 titled “floral panels & plain oval panels).I very much like the items “Floral 1 & 2” particularly as they are a decent size (660mm high X 500mm wide). I can imagine how a couple of these panels would greatly enhance the finished job having been neatly painted in bright colours. The thing is a pair of these would add £270 (plus vat!) to a set of gates.
Are there any pics on here of gates with panels? If you are a gate maker that uses these sort of panels, where do you get yours from and how does the price compare to the ones referred to? The ones I refer to are apparently made “in house”. Surely the Chinese must be knocking these out and supplying to some places?
