Gasket sealer

i have a electro- hydralic log spliter that has a slight leak on the pump gasket, what gasket sealer do you recommend for a quick fix for this winter it will be done properly next spring

It's as much work to split the parts and apply sealer to the mating faces as it is to replace the gasket.

Unless you're talking about some additive to the hydraulic oil?
