OK, don't shoot me.....yet.

But, I'm using disposables after my pub gas bottle leaked away and I need to help my lad fix his Disco rust.

I'm a donkey, yea, I know all that, but.....have any of you had experience with Machine Mart gas disposables that didn't seem to have much in them from new.
I had a couple of bottles from the local MM recently and they really didn't seem t have much gas in them at all.

I had an old, but new, 'Maypole' brand bottle lying around and it lasted ages by comparison.
Is there any point in complaining to MM?

Like for like gas? CO2 will last longer than the Ar/CO2 mix canisters. There's also standard 60 litre canisters & higher capacity 110 litre.

Hmm....I think the Maypole bottle was a little larger than the MM ones, but they've all been Ar/CO2.
The Maypole lasted four or five times longer, on the basis of how much linear welding was done, compared to the MM bottles, so even 110 litre over 60 litre, there's still a discrepancy it seems.
I think I'm going to become a BOC customer via the Volkzone offer, somehow.

I recently used these and the 110 bottles did last better, esp the CO2. I found around 20 mins welding compared to 10 mins with the 60 litre. Then I got fed up (and switched to BOC by said offer.....)

That seems to stack up then.
Have to make phone calls and get that BOC offer sorted and avoid any of those little bottles in the meantime.
