Gas valve grub screw

All,

i have went and lost the wee grub screw that holds the swan neck in place on the gas valve (clarke 150te).

Clarke dont have any in stock and neither does weld-equip. Machine mart wanted £6.30 delivered

i found this on ebay:

i think they are the right ones - can anyone confirm this?

or if you could point me to where i might find some...

grub screw

Not familiar at all with your welder, However the link says M10 X16, thats not very wee!!!

or in old money about 3/8" Diam X 5/8" long

is the screw that big?

M10 is not wee It's 10mm across the threads which is probably the same thickness as the swan neck. Take it to a bolt supplier to find out what thread it really is, probably M5 or M6 and buy one from them it doesn't need to be stainless. If you have a spare mig tip try that in the hole for the thread size.

m10x16 is what the clarke guy at their spares place said it was, does seem a bit big on re-consideration. I think i'll just take the gas valve to my local nut & bolt guy and see how we do.

edit - i tried a spare tip and it fits fine!

Put a allen key in the hole to judge the thickness of it. It's usually the next one up

If it's a spare tip you tried fitting then it's just standard M5.
