gas torch threads

My father in law has just given me all his old gas gear he had for plumbing/ lead work,included are a set of pipes and various torches and gauges, the problem ive got is the pipes and torches have smaller female connectors approx 1/2 inch, so i cant use the pipes for my cutting torch which is 5/8, so my question is can i buy adaptors to convert them to a standard fitting.

Yes you can get adapters, the smaller size is 1/4" and the larger one is 3/8".But the smaller bore pipes may not pass enough gas for a cutting torch.

thank you,ill get some new hoses and keep the smaller ones for special occasions then
