Gas tank

Hello all, i've been offered a compressed air cylinder, it was used for re-charging a paint ball cannister, would this be OK for my MIG welder if i can find a place to fill it, cheers, vince,....novice

don't think it will be of any use. Better to get a pub gas bottle of CO2

Anyone who offers to fill it wants their 'arris kicking!!
For goodness sake, the right gas in the right cylinder, it's the only safe way!!
Take MK's advice, if you want cheap gas you won't get any cheaper than pub gas.
Take a look at my suppliers sticky and see if there's anyone in your area.

Paint-ball guns use CO2 here.

They use the same tanks as used for MIG welding but they have been modified with a dip tube so they dispense liquid.

Ditto that too!!! Please don't underestimate the potential for serious injury or even death from incorrect use of high pressure cylinders.

if it has a white stripe down side that means it syphons off the liquid you would need a heater to turn it into gas again
