Gas supplies

Hi,I'm new to the forum so please forgive my ignorance on welding.

I'm rebuilding a MGB GT and welding is new to me,I started on the small bottles and a seigen 120 mig welder,I can now get good welds (thanks to the great tutorial on this site)but as soon as I start after 10mins the gas runs out.

I need a large bottle and regulator but I don't know where to get one or how much I can expect to pay,I'm in the Wirral area not far from liverpool,I've looked on the bay of e but I don't understand the sizes of the connectors and I ain't got a bottle anyway.

Can anyone help?

Best bet is to go to your local welding supplier, tell the what machine you have and get a regulator and hose adapter to suit.
Then for gas, either air products or boc. Not a clue as to how much they charge for rental, but the gas itself is pretty cheap

BOC and AP won't be best for an occasional user the refills are cheap enough but the rental and handling charges get a bit much.

What you need is a deposit but no rental deal fairly local - hopefully someone will recommend one.

Anything must be better than those poxy disposables although I havent personally resorted to CO2 yet... :worms
