Gas suppliers in Lanarkshire / Glasgow

Hi,

(Newbie warning)...

Does anybody know of a gas supplier in the Lanarkshire / Motherwell / SE Glasgow area? It'll just be for hobby use but I want a proper tank of gas.

There's BOC up the road in Motherwell, but I have a feeling that might work out expensive for the ocassional use it'll get. Having said that, I need to put a few learning hours in so that's going to use up the consumables

Anyway, is this a good deal or not....

Search the site for volkzone deal, from BOC. quite a few members are on it and it is much cheaper than BOC regular contract prices,

hi there, how did you get on with your search for gas ?

i just bought a welder, came with a bottle but is empty, thus require just a refill

no doubt the empty will be useless and will need to hire one

ive been looking into the gas supply too around lanark and our local supplier is doak who are an agent for BOC but you need an account with BOC then you rent the tank on an annual basis around £70 for the small size then £30 topup not an economical option for me so im working on getting an old pub co2 bottle exchanged by one of the pubs then just £40 at machine mart for a single gauge regulator dont know if it helps but could be an option
