if the bullnose is slightly damaged or leaks what you can do is take any rough bits off with emery cloth put it on and slightly tighten it not too much though get some grips on the tail and turn it round a couple of times . it makes a better seat and takes any rough edge off . then tighten it up and check for leaks not all the bottles you get are in good condition as should be

PTFE tape has sealed it up, all reg and torch joints checked with soapy water and appear gas tight.

Worm drive hose clips are not suitable for flammable gases and tbh are crap even on inert gas systems.

What kind are ok? Crimped? Out of interest, what's so bad about worm-drive ones?

I'm a bit intrigued because they're acceptable in a boat environment & they're pretty hot on gas.
The Boat Safety Scheme for gas installations states (Ch7.9.5):
All LPG hose connections:...
- must be part of pre-assembled lengths of hose of proprietary
manufacture (high- and low-pressure applications); or use suitable
nozzles secured by crimped or worm-drive clips (low-pressure
applications only); and,
- must not be made using hose clamps fixed by spring tension;

I've currently got worm ones...

I think the key is low or high pressure. I only use pre formed hoses so not sure what the domestic or caravan regs are without looking
