Gas problem?

Since taking a welding class I have had great success MIG welding thin sheet metal until a couple of weeks ago. All of a sudden I am getting burn through on all my welds using all of the same settings that have been working. The only thing different that I know of is that I just replaced my argon/CO2 gas bottle. Could the gas be mixed differently and somehow causing this? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using the disposable bottles or refillables?

could it be that you have pure Co2

I'm using refillable bottles. I never paid much attention to them before but I noticed the one I have now is blue and the previous ones were green. The one I have now id marked 75/25 Argon/CO2, so I'm wondering whether the previous ones were CO2 and whether that would have made a difference.

75/25 is the normal MIG mix.

CO2 would run hotter and requires a different regulator.

My pure argon bottle is green, maybe you were given the wrong gas before.

could you have previously had a bottle with a lower CO2 level such as 5% CO2
