OK everyone. I don't wish to engage in pages and pages of discussion about the rights and wrongs, But, as we are an international forum I thought I may as well ask,
My partner was wondering If everyone in Europe is having the same sort of energy price hikes as the UK? ( she doesn't believe the news). Cheers everyone. lets keep it civil.

Gas is expensive round the world and producers are limiting production. Some for political gains e.g Russia

while some abroad have different heating usages they all struggle with electric where prices can soar

or basically have none and have to use other alternatives

whilst many use wood or oil to heat there homes many dont use electric but will use solar instead

but theres alway swings and roundabouts to where your living and what sort of energy requirements that is needed

BP and Shell have hiked up the price they charge for North Sea gas because they can. It's nothing to do with the Greens, it is simply profiteering on the back of the Russians hiking up their prices, also because they can.

I don't think it could be any worse, even if it were true. Far too many chiefs and not enough Indians currently. 'Twas ever thus in nationalised entities.

private too much goes into shareholders profits

while national also did the services private dont do anything until its an emergency

thats why we are paying an extra 100.00 on our bills to build a nucleaer station that the services will use and charge us for to supply power to us and yet we bought the thing dont see shreholders keeping up with services and supplying new power ranges for us to use
