P philsmin Member Messages 221 Nov 6, 2011 #6 If you were to change internally you'd also need to change the switch configuration so that the trigger still works. My clarke 90EN (gas/gasless) has 2 wires going to the trigger switch, my 150TE has only one wire and uses the feed to the torch as the other wire. You could just try it as is and see how it is, some welders don't seam to fussed about the polarity change.
