Gas lens

We used to wadge a small piece of steel wool up the pink straight ceramic around the tungsten (only a loose ball about 10mm round) that you would usually use for alu and use that on stainless steel. I found it worked better than the lense which i also had, if you wanted to get in a tighter corner. The lenses are quite chunky afterall. Cost **** all as well which was a bonus.

I also have an InverterFusion machine, and I am interested in getting a suitable gas lens for it. I have a standard WP17 torch and am using tungstens of 1.0mm, 1.6mm and 2.4mm. What was the make and model of the gas lens that you got from WeldEquip? I would like to experiment with the same type of kit, if it was working well for you.

I found this with poor results, a lense was sooo much better. You can get different size lenses obviously, and personally i prefer to use a bigger lense and more tungsten showing even on tricky areas.
