Hi I have a new welder 25 to 170amps max i run it on 0.6 wire with gas for thinner stuff but have the need to weld some 6mm and 8mm angle.
I know i will need to do some prep for this thicknes but would i be better with 0.8 or 0.9 flux cored wire or 0.8 ordinary wire.
Is the thicker wire better for thicker metal and could i put 0.9 wire through my 0.8 feed roller also would i get more penetration with the flux cored wire.
Price of wire isnt that important as i dont have a great deal to do
