gas bottle valve thread

anyone know if a gas bottle valve thread is right or left hand i can't tell looking at the one i have and don't fancy guessing and making it tighter.....cheers

Left handed, or at least the 47kg ones are.

Left handed.
Fuel gas threads are left handed, you can also usually tell as the nut tends to have small notches around the middle, but not always.

if u want the tap out easily take the safety collar off the bottle and give the tap a good couple of good hard bats on the side of the outlet threads with a 2and a half pound hammer and they come streight out

Right handed - for the thread that goes into the bottle itself.

Left handed - for the fittings into the outlet of the valve.

X2 with brightspark. I have removed quite a few valves from gas bottles and by far the easiest way is remove the collar,then a few good smacks to drive the valve anti-clockwise
Do not use too light a hammer.
