Hi all,
New to the forum. Always been around for learning stuff but now I had to register and post a question.
A year ago I bought a bottle and a regulatorfromt the U.K. Then I moved to Cyprus and brought it with me. The bottle says LINDE GAS LTD, WC 10.1L EW 19.42 kg and it has what appears to be a 5/8 BSP female thread, same as the regulator (parweld argon, budget type).
Today I went to the local Linde dealer and asked them to fill it. They said they cannot do it because the valve is the wrong type, the bottle is not the right colour and to get ir right they want 80 quid + 50 for the gas or 250 for a new bottle.
What I am trying to find out is what valve do I need, where can I get one and how can I replace it. The bottle is empty by the way. I think I can find the male fitting to replace the one on my regulator online (DIN 477 I think !?)
Any help is much appreciated, now technical expertise round here whatsoever!
Regards,
Evros
